The Story Behind Hanini

I started with one client and one car.

A businessman needed a driver he could count on. I wasn't running a company then. I showed up early, kept what I heard to myself, and drove like the person in the back seat had somewhere important to be.

That went on for years. He became a friend. He told me I was thinking too small, and he was right. He also taught me the thing I still tell every chauffeur I hire: nobody remembers the car. They remember whether you were there when you said you would be.

One car became two. Two became several. I brought on drivers who worked the way I did.

In time I understood what clients were actually asking for. Not just a ride. They wanted to know their schedule stayed private, their family was looked after, and nothing about the day would go sideways.

That is when Hanini became more than a limousine company.

Fourteen years on, we run a team of chauffeurs and security personnel across the Bay Area and Los Angeles. It is a long way from where this started. I still think about the man who gave me that first job and told me to keep going.
